As most of you know, I just love SwagBucks.  My favorite ‘prize’ to redeem my SBs for is $5 Amazon gift cards.  {I have scored 13 $5 giftcards so far this year… which is $65}  Not sure what SwagBucks is?  Check out this post.

Currently, I am working to save and purchase the Electric Quilt 7 software program with SwagBucks.  I would love to be able to record all the thoughts I have regarding Quilt Patterns, and be able to go back and create a quilt from those thoughts.  Plus, I want to create an official layout of my Charming Log Cabins quilt to with you.  I tend to have a problem with the measuring part of figuring out how long/wide the different pieces need to be to create a block.  The Electric Quilt software figures that out for you, and creates a list of the different pieces {with measurements} you need to create that block.  Sounds like a win-win for me.

However…

Since that is going take a while to save up for… I currently need $135 more to purchase the software program..

I went ahead and redeemed some of my giftcards for a copy of The Farmer’s Wife by Laurie Aaron Hird, and a Clover Hera Marker.

I have been following the Flickr group for the FWQAL {Farmer’s Wife Quilt-A-Long}, and have been inspired by all the different fabrics that have been chosen for the various blocks.   It is ‘sew’ neat to flip through The Farmer’s Wife book and see all the different blocks there are in there {111 total blocks}.  I may even make some of the blocks while waiting to be able to get my copy of The Pony Club sampler quilt that Laurie is releasing this fall.  If you are looking for a BOM program for The Farmer’s Wife Pony Club quilt, Hidden Quilts has one they plan to begin in Oct. 2011.

So… since I have a couple months and ‘nothing’ to do… I guess I will start on my Farmer’s Wife Quilt!  Thank you mail-man for bringing my next obsession right to my doorstep!
