WIP ~ July 8th, 2011

Officially finished = quilted, washed and in use!

Ms. E’s Fresh Flowers quilt.

I used embroidery floss I had on-hand to tie this quilt.  I had plans to do some machine quilting, and then decided finishing was more important.  214 knots later… Ms. E is in L-O-V-E!

This quilt has already gone through the wash several times since she is carrying it around the house with her.  Amazingly the knots have stayed in.  I was really unsure if they would or ‘knot’.  It is very neat that they are staying in so well.

~ Works In Progress ~

Postage Stamp Quilt; on hold and fabrics being used now for the Rockin Robin Quilt Along.

Rockin Robin Quilt Along; fabrics choosen {see Postage Stamp Quilt link above}

Sugar Pop HSTs; 40 charms pieced with gray, cut, and ready to press and trim.

‘Lovely’ Quilt for me; 2 of 12 cabin blocks done, next cabin block laid out and ready to sew.

Ms. V’s Fresh Flowers Quilt; have plan, next step… start cutting.

This is going to be a quilt as I go project.  So I need to cut 15 squares of batting, backing and top fabric to get this quilt started.

Skill Builder Quilt Along; selected fabrics, need to piece together the first three blocks.

This is going to be a fun Christmas quilt, for ‘I’m don’t know yet’ {LOL!}

Summer Sampler Series; picked fabrics to get started with, but will be adding more to balance out the ‘values’; waiting for first post on the 11th {not behind on this one… yet} ~ This will be donated as part of the 100 Quilts for Kids campaign.

Ready, Set, Snow Snowball Tablerunner; have a plan, need to start piecing

Puppy Quilt; still need to baste and quilt

Fresh Flowers Liberated Wedding Rings Tablerunner; quilted, need to get the iron out and get the binding completed.

And that should wrap up my WIP update.  I was hoping to make more progress on this list over the weekend, but I got several Kitchen Valances completed for Mom instead.  Since these had been on the back burner for a while, it feels really good to have these off my plate.  Thank you Lord for my serger!!!  It certainly makes creating curtains ‘sew’ much faster.
